Minor in Health Care Management

Students may seek an academic minor in health care management.

The minor in health care management complements the skills the student gains in his or her major discipline by helping him or her to acquire skills and knowledge in the health care environment, leadership, decision making, professionalism, and business. The interdisciplinary approach combines coursework in gerontology and aging studies with traditional management and health care courses that help deal with the challenges of leadership along the path of professional development.

Courses already applied toward other degree requirements (e.g., major or general education) may not be applied toward the minor. At least 9 credits must be earned in upper-level courses (numbered 300 or above). Prerequisites apply for all courses.
