The Spanish for Business and the Professions certificate combines language and professional study to give students a language foundation that will help prepare them to work and communicate in a Spanish-speaking environment.
Note: This certificate is not intended for students who already have native or near-native ability in Spanish. Students may send an e-mail to languages@umuc.edu for additional information on course content and eligibility.
Note: Courses may be applied to only one certificate; some prerequisites may need to be fulfilled before beginning certificate courses.
A course in intermediate or upper-level Spanish chosen from the following: 3
- SPAN 211 Intermediate Spanish I
- SPAN 212 Intermediate Spanish II
- Any 300-level SPAN course taught in Spanish
- SPAN 418 Business Spanish I
- SPAN 419 Business Spanish II
A second course in intermediate or upper-level Spanish chosen from the above list: 3
A third course in intermediate or upper-level Spanish chosen from the above list: 3
