  • Become a teaching master: UMUC's Master of Arts in Teaching1 will prepare you to teach a diverse student body, assess student strengths and needs, analyze your effectiveness and maximize learning.
  • Transform teaching with technology: A Master of Education in Instructional Technology will show you how technology can strengthen and transform teaching, learning and leadership.

Choose a Complementary Bachelor's Degree

Although UMUC doesn't offer a bachelor's degree in education, you can reduce the total coursework for the MAT by up to 12 credits by choosing one of the following undergraduate majors:

Students who have completed courses in biology or math may also be eligible to reduce coursework for the MAT.
