Software Engineering (SWEN) Specialization
The Software Engineering specialization provides software developers with advanced software methodology, design and coding techniques. This specialization is designed to serve individuals wishing to enhance their programming skills in all phases of software development. Students gain hands-on experience performing all functions of building software. The emphasis of this specialization is on implementing software engineering projects within cost and schedule by applying proven and innovative practices.
The Master of Science program in Information Technology serves careers at the entry, mid-, or upper-level positions, depending upon the prior level of experience of the candidate.
Professional roles suitable for program graduates include leading a software development team. Based on experience dealing with clients and management, the next level of advancement would be as head of a development department and on to Chief Technology Officer.

- The Software Engineering specialization is designed for students with a degree and/or professional experience in software development and programming languages.
