Systems Engineering (SYSE) Specialization
The systems engineering specialization provides students with the ability to apply traditional and modern life cycle models, techniques, and tools in the specification, design, development, and deployment of complex systems. A variety of cases across different application domains are used to illustrate the wide scope of systems concepts.
The Master of Science program in Technology Management serves a number of careers at entry-, mid-, or high-level positions, depending on the prior level of experience of the candidate.
The systems engineering specialization is designed for early or mid-career individuals with experience in the military, public, or private sectors who desire to expand their knowledge and skill set in systems engineering principles and methods in order to enhance their opportunities for assuming broader engineering and technical leadership responsibilities. Depending upon their background, graduates of the program may find careers in positions such as
- Lead Project Engineer
- Process Designer
- Engineering Manager
Students who wish to improve their graduate writing skills may take COMM 600, Academic Writing for Graduate Students (3).
The systems engineering specialization is designed for students with academic and/or professional backgrounds in a technical discipline.
