Multimedia

Multimedia programs, including Flash, Shockwave, Java, and electronic whiteboards, can be used to create animations, applets, and more. As a general rule, the complex images, animations, and sounds created by multimedia technology can pose many accessibility challenges. You can still use these programs—in fact, many students benefit greatly from the incorporation of multimedia in an online course. However, you should always provide HTML versions to make sure that all students can access the content.
