Jim is struggling to understand the reading materials.

Question. How can Allison make her course content easier to understand?

Wide view of computer monitor; Jim looking at page covered with text.

Allison's course material includes large blocks of text. While this is common for printed materials, Web writing should be more concise and broken up into digestible chunks of content.

Question. What steps can Allison take to make the class content easier for Jim to understand and use?

Allison should review her course material to identify if there are ways to break up the content. She may be able to rewrite some sentences to make them more concise, add paragraph breaks to shorten longer blocks of text, and/or add subheadings to make the content easier to follow. She can also provide illustrative graphics (with text descriptions) to clarify complex concepts.
