Friends of the Arts Program
Two decades ago, UMUC realized that no other institution was making a special effort to collect, document, and exhibit the art of the state of Maryland. Today, the Maryland Artists Collection contains hundreds of works, representing the best achievements of visual artists in Maryland and including works dating from the early 1900s to the present.
UMUC’s Friends of the Arts Program campaign offers you the opportunity to help the Arts Program continue and expand its important work. Your gift will go to support and enhance the projects and offerings of the Arts Program—increasing
collaborations with other universities, publishing educational materials, and restoring historical artworks, as well as mounting, maintaining, and conserving works in the collections.
Become a charter member at one of the following levels and enjoy great benefits:
Associate—gifts less than $35.
- Receive the Arts Program quarterly newsletter
Friend—gifts of $35 or more
- Arts Program lapel pin
- Arts Program newsletter
Bronze Level Friend—gifts of $100 or more.
- Friend Level Benefits
- Four-color brochures from two major art exhibits held that year
Silver Level Friend—gifts of $250 or more.
- Bronze Level Friend Benefits
- Frameable posters from two major art exhibits held that year
Gold Level Friend—gifts of $500 or more.
- Silver Level Friend Benefits
- Collectible catalogs from two major art exhibits held that year
Platinum Level Friend—gifts of at least $1,000. Platinum
- Gold Level Friend Benefits
- Exclusive invitations to receptions, seminars, and “Meet the Artist” talks that are part of the two major exhibits held that year
All members will receive discounts on the upcoming art collections calendars, note cards, hats, umbrellas, tote bags, etc. based on their level of support.
