Acronyms and explanations of credits/debits

When reviewing your UMUC invoices or other financial documents, you may run across these commonly used acronyms:

• PS = PeopleSoft
• Deferred to AMS =  AMS/TuitionPay has been processed as payment
• TP = Third Party
• TA = Tuition Assistance
• ROF = Remission of Fees
• ACH = Automated Clearing House
• EFT = Electronic Funds Transfer
• STO = State Treasure’s Office
• SCCU = State Central Collection Unit
• ODB = Over due balance
• PTP = Promise to Pay
