In times of natural or man-made disaster, societies rely heavily on professionals who are able to expertly design and implement successful emergency response plans.
A career in Emergency Management is both rewarding and challenging. At the front-line of natural and man-made disasters, you'll be responsible for developing emergency strategies for events such as nuclear, biological, chemical disasters.
In addition, you'll work with other officials to analyze and assist damages following disasters or emergencies.

UMUC's undergraduate Emergency Management degree is designed for professionals in law enforcement, fire service, or other security fields who want to expertly manage critical incidents. In this program, you'll delve into the management practices required for multi-agency coordination, incident command, and proper maintenance.
