Dorit Yaron, PhD

Art History Researcher, University of Maryland, College Park

Dorit Yaron, PhD, is an art history researcher, specializing in twentieth century American art, and is currently the Deputy Director of The David C. Driskell Center for the Study of the Visual Arts and Culture of African Americans and the African Diaspora at University of Maryland, College Park. Prior to being Deputy Director, Yaron was the Assistant Director of the University of Maryland, College Park Art Gallery, after holding the position of Executive Administrator and Exhibition Assistant.

Yaron has participated as a panel member for the Maryland State Arts Council, Arts in Community 2004-2007, and has been an independent curator since 2003.

Yaron holds an MA in Art History and Archeology and a BA in Art History and Archeology and Art Studio from University of Maryland, College Park. She also earned a BA in Architecture from University of the Negev, Beer Shiva, Israel.
