Program Planning—Manage Your Academic Progress
Use Your Degree Progress Report
Your official evaluation or Degree Progress Report charts the progress you have made toward your academic achievement and acts as a guide so you can make informed decisions about which future courses to take. The evaluation shows the accepted transfer courses, the UMUC courses you have completed, and the remaining credits needed for your degree.
Know Your Academic Catalog
"It is extremely important to be open to other perspectives when learning."
Charlene Butler
Graduate Homeland Security
Class of 2010
Knowing your catalog year and satisfying program requirements according to the correct year is critical to successful program completion, correct placement of transfer credit and earned credit, as well as semester planning. Your catalog year is determined by your application date or first date of enrollment. To check your catalog year, log into MyUMUC and view your Degree Progress Report (DPR). You can find your "Catalog edition" or "Reg term" on the first page of your DPR. Watch the Degree Progress Report (DPR) tutorial to learn how to read your DPR.
Current students, be sure to reference the catalog from the year you began for your program requirements.
