Co-op in Your Current Job If you are working in a position related to your academic field of study, you may Co-op using your current job. You should consider Co-op if you recently:
The position or new responsibilities must relate to the academic field in which you wish to earn credit. Generally, administrative tasks are not considered appropriate for a Co-op experience. However, if you are in a job that is not related to your academic field of study, it can be useful to consider potential Co-op options at your current job. For example, if you work as an administrative assistant in a firm, but wish to earn credit in Information Systems Management, consider proposing some projects to your supervisor. See if you could create Web pages, design databases, network computers or perform other IFSM-related work. The most important qualification for Co-op is your new learning in the workplace! |
