Offit Kurman
Theodore Offit is a Co-Founder and the Managing Principal of Offit Kurman, as well as Chair of the firm's Business Department. He serves as general counsel to a significant list of privately held organizations and often serves in an advisory capacity to the Board of Directors of the firm's entrepreneurial clientele. He often serves as special counsel to businesses seeking to implement succession plans through a sale (merger and acquisition) or through transfers to affiliates (family members and employees).
Offit also serves as special counsel regarding the design and implementation of compensation plans for executive level staff. He has extensive experience in serving as general counsel to families of significant wealth and is frequently asked to participate in family office meetings and family council meetings to develop family succession plans. In addition, Offit serves as general counsel to non-profit organizations and has significant experience in non-profit governance issues.
Marc Rubin

The firm’s Managing Partner, Marc Rubin, began his career with Berman Goldman & Ribakow LLP in 1976. A 1975 graduate of the University of Maryland, he received a BS degree in accounting. In addition, he has earned the designation of Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).
Rubin is recognized for his in-depth knowledge of real estate and other closely held businesses, as well as his extensive experience in performing business valuations. In 2004, he founded Patuxent Valuation Group which has become one of the leading business valuation firms in the region.
For the last five years, Rubin has been named by Smart CEO magazine as a “SmartCPA” which recognizes the top CPAs in the state. In 2007, he was awarded the “Accountant Champion of the Year” by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
His professional affiliations include serving as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), the AICPA's Management Accounting Practice (MAP) Network Group, and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). In addition to serving on the board, Rubin is also Treasurer of the Howard County Chamber of Commerce. He is a graduate of Leadership Howard County’s Class of 2005.

Jamie Waldren is a Senior Partner in The Waldren Group located in Columbia, Maryland, with 15 years of experience in his field. Waldren is a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner. His team specializes in Comprehensive Wealth Management with closely held family owned and operated businesses, corporate executives, and individual investors.
Waldren's team works with clients to create and implement a customized plan of wealth preservation and to work with their personal legal and tax advisors to develop an integrated plan tailored to their goals and wishes. For private business owners, his team assists with creating liquidity through the sale, partial sale, merger, or recapitalization of their businesses.
Waldren's professional affiliations include serving as a member of the Financial Planning Association of Maryland, the Baltimore Estate Plan Council, and the CEO Club of Maryland, and as Director of Membership for the Association for Corporate Growth of Maryland. He is Vice Chair of the Investment Committee and serves on the Board of Directors of the United Methodist Church Baltimore Washington Conference & Foundation, which oversees more then $30 million in Foundation Assets. Finally, he is a graduate of Leadership Howard County and past President of the Columbia Jaycees.
