Description


Presenter—Art Jacoby:

This segment of the seminar lays the groundwork for understanding key strategies and tactics that can be employed to build and protect the value of a business. Part one of the program covers the key variables that ultimately determine the value of a business. This ensures that you focus your time and resources where you can have the greatest financial impact. Part two will review key marketing & sales strategies and tactics that can be employed to drive growth and value creation. Both traditional and online marketing and sales activities will be discussed. Part three will cover best practices for protecting the enterprise through the deployment of proven methodologies.

Presenter—Ken Wexley:

This segment of the seminar focuses on your management team. This team consists of you (the CEO/Owner) and all of the managers reporting directly to you. Creating a world class management team is a “Must Have” for creating and protecting the value of your entrepreneurial enterprise. The presentation will cover best practices for:

• Developing a world class management team
• Making sure that you hire and promote the right people for your team

  • Articulate the key factors that determine the value of a business
  • Understand marketing and sales strategies and tactics that drive growth
  • Appreciate the role of financial projections and how to employ them as a management tool
  • Take action on protecting your company’s intellectual property, customers and employees from encroachment
  • Understand why the following 5 key components are essential for creating and maintaining a world class management team:
    • Formulating and communicating your core values and vision
    • Generating yearly strategic objectives and action plans with your team
    • Clarifying performance expectations with each of your team members
    • Holding team members accountable
    • Providing developmental and growth opportunities for both individuals and the team
  • Appreciate that the most important thing to do is to “get the right people on the bus and in the right seats”
  • Understand how to go about hiring and promoting the best people for your management team through the use of in-depth managerial assessments

Presenter—Ken Wexley:

This one hour segment will be divided into two parts: forty minutes of lecture and twenty minutes of Q&A.

Part one will focus on the five key components. Part two will focus on hiring and promoting the best people for your management team using a competency analysis, structured interviewing, and managerial testing.
