Description
This three hour program will address wealth management issues for the entrepreneur. Topics will include addressing liquidity needs, diversification, estate planning, asset protection, philanthropy, and family dynamics. Case studies will be discussed with the assistance of a panel of professionals.
Goals
After completing this program, you will be able to:
- Address liquidity and diversification needs of a business owner
- Understand estate planning techniques of particular relevance in today’s environment including GRATs and discounted gifting.
- Develop some asset protection strategies such as through the use of trusts, titling of assets, and insurance.
- Identify ways of pursuing philanthropic goals
- Develop strategies for dealing with family dynamics—family mission statement, equitable distribution of assets, selecting trustees, and key advisors.
