If a class that meets completely in-person or is a combination of in-person and online instruction is already full at the time of
registration at University of Maryland University College, you have the option of placing your name on a waiting list
for the class.
How to Get on a Waiting List
You can check on class availability online by visiting MyUMUC.
- If a space becomes available, the first student on the waiting list will automatically be registered for it, and the charge will appear on the student's account. An e-mail notification of the enrollment from the waiting list will be sent. If a space becomes available but the first student is ineligible to enroll in the class (for reasons such as the student has not met the prerequisites or is enrolled in a class that conflicts in time), the space will go to the next person on the waiting list.
- If you no longer want a class, you should remove your name from the waiting list to prevent the possibility of an automatic enrollment.
- Faculty members and academic advisors are not authorized to add you to a full class.
How to Make the Waiting List Work for You
Class sections are added regularly, so access MyUMUC for the latest course offering information. University of Maryland University College reserves the right to reorder the waiting list for a given course, without notice, to correct inequities caused by system problems.
Other Important Information About the Waiting List
