In addition, the panel moderator will deliver an evening of conversation focusing on buying an existing business or franchise, how to finance this venture, and introduce local resources whom will be in attendance to network.

Meet the Panelists
Dr. Ben Litalien - Panel Discussion Moderator
The panel discussion will be led by Dr. Ben Litalien, DM class of 2012. Dr. Litalien brings over two decades of successful experience in the field of franchising. He has developed and implemented strategic plans for a diverse group of companies including a major oil company, quick serve concepts including a sandwich and catering franchise, and a national franchiser of food court cafes. Ben is the Founder and Principal of FranchiseWell, LLC, a consulting practice dedicated to the improvement and enhancement of franchising. He is also on staff at Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Studies as the academic advisor for Entrepreneurship and Franchise programs, and teaches the Franchise Management Certificate program each semester. He is also an assistant adjunct profession at UMUC, where he teaches Entrepreneurship and Management & Organizational Theory.

Since co-founding CITI in 1996, Sunil Sharad Kolhekar, one of the Small Business Administration’s Champion Award winners (the 2009 Entrepreneurial Success Award), has led the company through many years of remarkable growth to its present stature as a leading provider of high-end IT solutions for federal agencies such as DOS, DHS, EPA, HUD, and others. Dr. Kolhekar brings his more than 25 years of executive experience and his strengths in software development and management to his role as President and CEO of CITI.
At CITI, he has played a pivotal role in growing the business from its original three employees to its current population of more than 350; and in bringing it to ever higher levels of revenue each year.

Vice President of Membership, Maryland Chamber of Commerce
Greg has spent the past 7 years creating and maintaining relationships for the Maryland Chamber of Commerce. He helps members grow their businesses through opportunities to network and develop stronger business skills through education and business resource connections. In addition, he also establishes new and retained membership goals and develops strategic plans, including membership campaigns, to achieve them. Also develops membership services, benefits and events to meet member needs and interests.
