About Us

Welcome to the Biotechnology Studies Program at UMUC

The mission of the Biotechnology Studies program at UMUC is to develop student entrepreneurs by providing each student with a thorough understanding of the scientific, management, and policy issues that are distinctive to the biotechnology industry.

This aim is accomplished by providing students with a rigorous program that is uniquely designed to integrate science, entrepreneurship, and technology. The courses are taught by distinguished faculty, most of whom are practitioners in the field. The program offers an intellectually vibrant atmosphere that encourages the development of innovative and critical thinking skills, teamwork, awareness, and respect for cultural and global diversity.
