A New Online Biotechnology Professional Mentoring program will pilot in fall 2009.

The biotechnology degree program offers three specializations in:

• Bioinformatics
• Biotechnology Management
• Biosecurity and Biodefense

The degree requires completion of 36 credit hours of coursework.

In addition, it offers two graduate certificates in:

• Bioinformatics
• Biotechnology Management
  

The certificate requires completion of 15 credit hours of coursework.

2009 UCEA award for Outstanding Continuing Education Student in a Degree program was awarded to Biotechnology student Luis Ascanio.
