UMUC offers a number of resources to make this process more convenient and more rewarding every step of the way.

Technical Requirements

Minimum technical requirements are subject to change. Current information about technical requirements is available at WebTycho Help and Support.

Technical requirements for students taking graduate courses using WebTycho include:

• A computer running a compatible Web browser
• A connection to the internet
• An e-mail account
• A sound card with speakers or headphones
• Sun Java VM (can be downloaded for free)
• Virus protection software (updated regularly)

WebTycho Help and Support

WebTycho support agents are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  WebTycho Support does not support third party software. This includes virus-protection, word processing, and any other software not developed by UMUC. We do, however, assist with configuring browsers, JVM, and JavaScript specifically required for use with WebTycho. Students can receive WebTycho Help and Support in a variety of ways.
