How to Subscribe to Podcasts
To listen to an audio file without subscribing, simply click an audio file link located under Podcast Listings.
Subscribing to a podcast allows you to automatically receive the latest episodes/updates. Follow the instructions below to learn how to subscribe to UMUC's Academic Podcasts.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1. Install Hardware and Software
- Computer (PC or Mac)
- MP3 Player or iPod (optional)
- Internet Connection
- Podcast Reader/Software
Below you will find a selection of free software programs for subscribing to podcasts. If you already have any of the software listed below, skip to Step 2.
- iTunes
- Juice
- Google Reader (Google Account Required)
For compatibility information, please see the Recommended Software page before downloading any of these programs.
Step 2. Subscribe to Podcasts
- iTunes Users: Click the iTunes icon
located on the right side of the desired podcast listing, and it will automatically enter the subscription in iTunes.
- Juice Users:
- Click the RSS icon
located on the right side of the desired podcast listing, and select “Copy Shortcut”. - Open "Juice," select the “Subscriptions” tab, and click the “Add a Feed” button.
- In the pop-up window, paste the podcast's feed link into the text box next to “URL”. To paste the feed, you may either right-click on the blank text box and select “paste” or you may press “Ctrl + V” on keyboard.
- Click the “Save” button to finish.
- Click the RSS icon
- Google Users: Click the “Add to Google” icon
and it will take you to the “Add to Google” page. Click “Add to Google Reader” and sign in with your Gmail account.

Using Older Browsers: For Internet Explorer 6, copy and paste the link from the address bar into an aggregator such as Juice or iTunes. For more information, please visit subscribing to podcasts from a browser.
When using browsers such as Firefox 2 or Internet Explorer 7, listen to podcasts directly through the link.
