Works created by faculty may belong exclusively to them.
May be the property of the College or University.
Whoever has ownership, the owner has the responsibility:
- To register the copyright (not necessary but advisable)
- To evaluate whether licenses are needed versus fair use
- To be responsible for enforcement
- To be legally liable
