Driving Directions

  • From the Capital Beltway (Interstate 495), take U.S. Route 1 South (exit 25).
  • Turn right onto Route 193 West (University Boulevard).
  • At the third traffic light (Adelphi Road), make a "U" turn.
  • The Conference Center is on your right. Entrance to the parking garage is on the immediate right.

Parking

Convenient parking for participants is available in the UMUC Inn and Conference Center garage at a nominal hourly rate, with a daily maximum that is currently $6 per day [rates subject to change]).

Airports & Ground Transportation

If you are traveling by air to Adelphi, Maryland, there are three airports in the Washington, DC regional area that you can easily travel through: Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall (BWI); Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA); and Dulles International (IAD).

UMUC Airports

BALTIMORE WASHINGTON INTERNATIONAL (BWI)
Taxi approximately $60.

Driving Directions:

  • Take Route 295 South (Baltimore-Washington Parkway) to the Capital Beltway west (Route I-495).
  • Take the College Park exit to U.S. Route 1 South (first exit, from the left lane).
  • Turn right onto Route 193 West (University Boulevard).
  • At the third traffic light (Adelphi Road), make a "U" turn.
  • The Conference Center is on the right, and the entrance to the parking garage is on the immediate right.

RONALD REAGAN WASHINGTON NATIONAL AIRPORT (DCA)
Taxi approximately $40.

Driving Directions:

  • Exit the Airport heading north and merge onto George Washington Memorial Pkwy N.
  • Merge onto I-395 N toward Washignton.
  • Turn right onto New York Avenue/Rt. 50 East
  • Take I-295 north toward Baltimore. I-295 becomes the Baltimore-Washington Pkwy (MD Route 295).
  • Exit onto Riverdale Road west toward Hyattsville. Riverdale Road becomes East-West Highway (MD Route 410).
  • Turn right onto Adelphi Road. At fourth light, turn right onto University Boulevard (MD Route 193) and take first right into UMUC headquarters.
  • The Conference Center is on the right, and the entrance to the parking garage is on the immediate right.

DULLES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (IAD)
Taxi approximately $60.

Driving Directions:

  • Follow the signs for the Capital Beltway North (Route I-495).
  • Exit at New Hampshire Avenue South (Route 650 South).
  • Turn left at the second light onto Adelphi Road.
  • Turn left at the third light onto Route 193 East (University Boulevard).
  • The Conference Center is on the right, and the entrance to the parking garage is on the immediate right.

Metro (Subway) 202-637-7000

  • Take your best route to the Green Line towards Greenbelt.
  • From the Green Line, exit at the College Park Metro station.

From the College Park station, you may taxi to UMUC or use Metro bus line C8 westbound to the Campus Dr./Presidential Dr. stop (about 10 minutes) (this stop might also be be called Campus Dr./Adelphi Rd.). You will be right in front of UMUC. (bus fare: approx. $1.25)

Take Amtrak to Union Station; switch to Metro Red Line toward Glenmont; transfer to the Green Line at Fort Totten; take the Green Line toward Greenbelt. Follow the directions above for Metro.
