Expectations for Participants of CTLA 201: Teaching with WebTycho
Faculty who enroll in the CTLA 201 WebTycho training course should:
-
Be fully aware that CTLA 201 is a demanding and time-intensive course requiring daily participation and work. A faculty member with average technology skills may expect to spend 8-10 hours per week on CTLA 201 work for the five-week duration of the course.
-
Be as prepared as possible for the course by the time it begins. Faculty are generally enrolled in the training course two weeks before it begins and receive extensive guidelines about how to be ready for the course. They should follow each of these guidelines and ask questions of CTL staff or their trainer wherever they have a difficulty. They should be familiar and at ease with the WebTycho environment by the time the course begins.
-
Be sure to have reliable computer and Internet access and be able to use both with ease. Please review and make sure you understand the technical requirements for working in WebTycho.
