New Faculty Orientations
Orientations for new undergraduate and graduate faculty are held separately and are required for all new faculty within their first year of teaching at UMUC. The School of Undergraduate Studies holds three orientation sessions per year—one each before the fall, spring, and summer semesters. The Graduate School of Management and Technology schedules two orientation sessions per year, one each before the fall and spring semesters.
Academic administrators notify CTL when new faculty are hired and CTL sends written invitations to them for the next orientation session. Orientation materials are distributed to new faculty who live outside the metropolitan DC area and are unable to attend the sessions.
