Virtual Academic Integrity Laboratory (VAIL)
Media: Web site
Description: A higher education resource that explores academic integrity issues. The site is divided into two main sections. One is targeted to students, the other to faculty and administrators. Both sections include a variety of resources (forums, interactive tutorials, text-based guides, academic policy descriptions, and links to other Web sites). Faculty and administrators can access descriptions of relevant workshops and survey research.
Clients: UMUC Center for Intellectual Property; Alfred P. Sloan Foundation
Services provided: The CVU recommended a Web site design that was expandable, and created a process and templates so that the Center for Intellectual Property could maintain the site independently. The CVU was responsible for initial Web site development, including graphic design and programming. It also designed an animated character used throughout the site.
