Grant Development and Compliance

 

WHO WE ARE

The unit of Grants Development and Compliance in the Office of Evaluation, Research, and Grants provides expertise in designing, developing, securing, and managing grants for UMUC. This includes coordinating the pursuit, acquisition, and management of external funds from public and private sources; ensuring high standards of grant monitoring and compliance; overseeing special projects; and facilitating communication among internal and external constituencies in the development and management of grant programs.

 

WHAT SERVICES WE PROVIDE

• Disseminate information about funding opportunities
• Outline the requirements of requests for proposals and/or funding specifications
• Develop proposal timeline
• Work closely with project directors on writing and editing narrative
• Provide technical assistance on budget
• Facilitate internal grant review and approval process
• Coordinate grant submission process
• Present workshops on topics such as identifying funding sources, proposal development, electronic submission processes and grant compliance issues
