How to Avoid Plagiarism: Summary
Avoiding plagiarism is really a matter of giving credit where credit is due. It may help to compare your role as a writer to that of a stage director. That is, its up to you to introduce the reader to whatever new speakers you bring into the discussion, to represent the new speakers ideas faithfully, and to give the reader a way to enlarge on his or her knowledge of the source. You should leave the reader with no questions about when you are speaking in your own voice and when another author has the stage.

Now its time to take the Plagiarism Post-test! If you complete the post-test with a score of 100%, you will receive a "Certificate of Completion." You may keep the certificate for your own records or send a copy to an instructor. If you have been referred to a module by an instructor, a copy of your certificate may be expected.
