:: Help UMUC Students Navigate the College Park Campus! Navigation Station Volunteers Needed

In order to help students and faculty find their classes on the College Park campus, we are setting up Navigation Stations to provide general directions the first week of the spring semester. The stations will be open from 6-7:30 p.m. on January 26, 27, 28 and 29. We will be meeting each night in 4220 SFSC from 5-5:30 p.m. for some light refreshments and to hand out supplies.

The Provost's office would like to announce the inaugural Provost's Award for Best Paper in Online Education Research, a competition established to encourage excellence in online education and new scholarship and research among UMUC faculty. UMUC is proud to announce that William Sondervan was recently named Criminal Justice Alumnus of the Year by his alma mater, Jacksonville State University in Alabama. Sondervan, professor and director of UMUC's criminal justice, investigative forensics and legal studies programs, attended the university's Alumni Association dinner and ceremony to accept the award on October 17, 2008.
