He holds the rank of collegiate professor on the faculty of University of Maryland University College (UMUC), earned during his 17 years with UMUC in Europe and the USA. Stewart earned a doctorate in engineering administration, marketing of technology, and international economics at The George Washington University through after-hours and weekend study. He also holds two master's degrees, one in electronics engineering and one in the technology of management, plus a professional designation in information and computer science.
