Dependents Scholarship


UMUC is proud to offer five annual $1200 scholarships to assist active-duty or veteran military service members who have been severely injured in the line of duty, or the spouse or dependents of a severely injured service member.


What are the selection criteria?

  • Active-duty or veteran military service member who is severely injured, or the spouse or dependents of a severely injured service member
  • Content and quality of the application essay
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 at UMUC (for continuing students)
  • Demonstrated financial need

How should I apply?

Please note: All students applying for financial aid must begin the application process for the new academic year by filling out the (Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
