The fashion show was sponsored by the Office of Diversity Initiatives as part of the celebration of African American Heritage Month, and spotlighted the contributions that African American designers have made to the world of fashion. UMUC President Gerald Heeger welcomed members of the University System of Maryland Board of Regents during their February 21 meeting at the University's Inn and Conference Center.
