Nguyen, 40, had worked in Information Technology since July 1997 and most recently was assigned to the PeopleSoft project. “Phong was a loyal friend and dedicated employee at UMUC for more than six years,” said Yolan So, who was Nguyen’s supervisor in Information Technology prior to his work with PeopleSoft. “He started as a programmer in the Application Systems Development staff and was the ultimate team player. He would have given the shirt off his back for his friends, and those who knew him can attest to this. We will miss him greatly.” Those who wish to send condolences to Nguyen’s family or make a charitable donation in his memory should contact Karen Satin for more information.
