Mirja Clement Exhibition Opens in Finland
 |
| Eva Allen (right), a collegiate associate professor of art history,
traveled to Helsinki, Finland, in April 2005 to attend
the opening of an exhibition of works by Mirja Clement
(left), a UMUC alumnus who took several art history
classes from Allen. The exhibition was held in the
Haikko Mansion in the town of Porvoo, not far from
Helsinki, and included illustrations in gouache and
watercolor, many from Clements’ book, Those Were
the Days, which included a foreword
by Allen. Allen and Clement are pictured here with
some of Clement's work on display in Haikko Mansion. |
