His

Artist Philip Koch (left) chats with Joseph Holston,
another Maryland artist whose works have been displayed at the University,
during the November 7, 2004, opening of Koch’s exhibit at UMUC,
entitled “Vision of Nature: The Landscapes of Philip Koch.” Koch’s
works will be on display until January 2, 2005. |

UMUC’s first career fair
was held October 28, 2004, in the Inn and Conference
Center. The fair was advertised online and in the Washington
Post and Baltimore Sun and
drew more than 700 applicants interested in positions
in information technology, information and library
services, enrollment management, finance, student financial
services, marketing and communications, and budget
and financial analysis. Applicants were able to meet
with supervisors, who arranged follow-up interviews
with promising candidates. |
