The health of our water and land is vital to our existence. To help us keep our planet healthy, University of Maryland University College (UMUC) students have developed this site to discuss ways that we can all reduce, reuse and recycle—essential steps to having clean water, air and land.

Many know that recycling and reusing are helpful, but did you know that reducing your consumption is the best alternative? See Pathways to Reduce to discover solutions that are not only Earth-friendly, but also provide you with physical, social and economic benefits.

Also, find information and community support that empowers you to take steps, big and small, that are healthier for our planet. For example, you can view our Carbon Footprint Presentation and then test your knowledge in the Carbon Footprint Quiz. You can also use an interactive map to find local reduce and reuse resources in the United States.

Together, we can make a difference. We invite you to explore this site and test your knowledge. Also, join in on the discussions or share your questions, comments and feedback with us. We look forward to hearing from you!
