MyUMUC: How do I submit a paper to the Effective Writing Center for review? (Students)

Submit Your Paper for Review in MyUMUC

You can submit any writing assignment from any course to the the Effective Writing Center (EWC ) for feedback. Learn more about the
Effective Writing Center services.
 
Step 1: Go to http://www.umuc.edu/login and click MyUMUC.  Log in with your username and password.

Step 2: Under Academic Information, click Submit to Writing Center.

 

Step 3: Complete form to receive help from a writing advisor. The required information proves you are a registered UMUC student. Please note that we do not make reports to teachers. 

After you submit your request, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from the Effective Writing Center. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please check your spam folder. If you did not receive the message, please contact the Effective Writing Center.

You will receive a response from a writing advisor within 48 hours from the time your request is received and processed. If you do not receive a response within 48 hours, please send an email to the Effective Writing Center at writingcenter@umuc.edu.
