Java: How do I clear Java cache on a Mac computer?

Step 1: Click the Finder icon on the desktop.





Step 2: From Finder, click on Applications. Under Applications, click on System Preferences.





Step 3: In your System Preferences window, under Other, click on Java.





Step 4: When the Java Control Panel opens, the General tab will be selected by default. From the General tab, under Temporary Internet Files, click the Settings button.





Step 5: Down near the bottom of the dialog box, click on the Delete Files button.




Step 6: Under Delete Files and Applications, leave Trace and Log Files and Cached Applications and Applets checked. Leave Installed Applications and Applets unchecked, and click OK.





Step 7: You must restart your computer to complete the process. Then, be sure to click Trust when the Java certificate appears.
