Scholarship Eligibility for the University of Maryland University College

University of Maryland University College scholarships are available to students based on merit and/or financial need. Students who apply for financial aid will be prescreened for scholarship eligibility and, if eligible, will be notified via their To Dos in MyUMUC . If selected, it is encouraged that scholarship application be submitted as soon as possible.

Note: Scholarship eligibility does not guarantee an award.

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • Undergraduate Students:
    • Completed 15 credits
    • Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
    • Meet enrollment requirements during award period (6 semester credits)
  • Graduate Students:
    • Completed 9 credits
    • Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
    • Meet enrollment requirements during award period (6 semester credits)
Note: Employees of the University and their dependents, as well as persons, who receive remission of fees from other institutions, are not eligible to apply for University of Maryland University Collge institutional scholarships or grants.

Students may also be eligible for Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) scholarships and grants.
