Refunds are processed in the same manner in which they were originally paid:
If you paid your balance with a credit card and are now due a refund, the funds will be returned to your credit card. Credit card refunds are processed weekly.
If you paid your balance via check or money order and are now due a refund, the funds will be returned via check. All refund checks will be mailed to the address on file with the University of Maryland University College.
How do I get a refund if the credit/debit card I used is no longer active?
- If you are in good standing with the credit/debit card company, the bank will send you a check for the amount of the refund.
- If you are not in good standing the credit/debit card company, you will not receive a check from the bank because the credit/debit card company paid the fees to the University of Maryland University College.
- If you are unsure whether or not your card account is in good standing, contact your credit/debit card company for more information.
