After you register for your courses, complete the VA Certification form in your MyUMUC Student Center.
- Log into MyUMUC
- Click on MyMilitary
- Click Request for Certification
- Select the Term
- Complete the questionnaire
- Click on the courses you want to be submitted to the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA)
- Click Submit and Save
Please allow 10-15 business days for your certification to be processed. View the status of your certification request by clicking on View My Certification Status from the MyMilitary drop-down menu.
If you are using the Chapter 33 Post 9/11 or the Chapter 31 Vocational Rehabilitation, UMUC will place a notice on your account indicating that you are expecting the US Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) to pay for your classes so you will not be disenrolled for non-payment.
For all chapters other than the Chapter 33 Post 9/11 or the Chapter 31 Vocational Rehabilitation, you will be paid directly by the US Department of Veterans Affairs and will, therefore, need to submit payment to UMUC for your classes immediately.
