After you register for your courses, complete the VA Certification form in your MyUMUC Student Center.
- Log into MyUMUC
- Click on MyMilitary
- Click Request for Certification
- Select the Term
- Complete the questionnaire
- Click on the courses you want to be submitted to the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA)
- Click Submit and Save
Please allow 10-15 business days for your certification to be processed. View the status of your certification request by clicking on View My Certification Status from the MyMilitary drop-down menu.
If you are using the Chapter 33 Post 9/11 or the Chapter 31 Vocational Rehabilitation, the University of Maryland University College will place a notice on your account indicating that you are expecting the US Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) to pay for your classes so you will not be disenrolled for non-payment.
For all chapters other than the Chapter 33 Post 9/11 or the Chapter 31 Vocational Rehabilitation, you will be paid directly by the US Department of Veterans Affairs and will, therefore, need to submit payment to the University of Maryland University College for your classes immediately.
