Financial Aid: Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) is for undergraduate students with exceptional financial need working towards their first degree. Pell Grant recipients with the lowest Expected Family Contributions (EFC) are considered first for a FSEOG, however; due to limited funds, not all eligible students will receive the award.

Students will receive notification from UMUC via email if they are selected for the award. They can also view their financial aid package through the MyUMUC Student Center.

UMUC awards up to $500 per semester (maximum of $1000 per year) to students enrolled at least half time.

The FSEOG is subject to the same disbursement policies and procedures as the Federal Pell Grant. A FSEOG will not disburse until Pell census.

Additional information regarding the FSEOG can be located on the Federal Student Aid FSEOG website.
