Become a Friend of the Arts at UMUC

University of Maryland University College (UMUC) has cultivated and grown its permanent art collections since 1978. The Maryland Artist Collection is one of the largest compilations of work by Maryland artists. The International Collection includes works by some of the nation's leading art figures, while The Asian Collection comprises centuries of Asian art, including Chinese ceramics and traditional scrolls that date as far back at the Tang Dynasty, as well as contemporary Japanese prints.

Your gifts to the UMUC Arts Program bring art to the community and help support the university's collections. By becoming a Friend of the Arts, you have the opportunity to network with artists, build and support collections, and socialize with friends while enjoying works by leading and emerging artists worldwide.

UMUC Arts Program Director Eric KeyMessage from Eric Key, Director, UMUC Arts Program

Personally, I can't imagine a world without art. I often say "there are many things I can live without but art isn’t one of them." Art has its aesthetic value, historical content and technical qualities. It soothes the soul, enriches the mind, and directs the future. The UMUC Arts Program is building a vibrant art collection for generations to come and we hope you will be a part of its development. Be a part of the conversation!
