2nd  Annual ShareFair on UMUC Faculty Research and  Scholarship: A Time to Reflect and Create New Collaborations

Preliminary Call for Participation and Attendance
To All Grad School and Undergrad School Collegiate, NOL, and  Adjunct Faculty*

Date: Thursday, September 20, 2012
Time: Noon-3 pm
Location: Largo Auditorium

Format:

  • Noon-1:30 pm:  Lunch  and Faculty Research Poster Session
  • 1:30-2:30 pm:   Birds  of a Feather Sessions/Knowledge Cafés Round Table Discussions
  • 2:30-3:00 pm:  Recognition Awards for Research and Scholarship (including Best Posters,  etc.)

Interested in participating or attending?
Please contact Wendy Williams (wwilliams@umuc.edu) or Jay Liebowitz, Orkand Chair (jliebowitz@umuc.edu) by April 26, 2012 if you are  interested in participating per below (indicate title/abstract for poster or  birds-of-a-feather session): 

  • Present your research during a poster session (we will send  poster guidelines later).
  • Moderate a Birds of a Feather session - a round table  discussion on a multidisciplinary research topic of interest such as:    

    • Cross-Generational Knowledge Flows
    • Improving E-Learning Techniques through  Social Media
    • Applying Quantitative or Qualitative Research Methodologies
    • Nurturing a Knowledge Sharing Culture for UMUC Research and Scholarship
    • Conducting Team-Based Capstones
    • Online Learning Assessments
    • and other birds  of a feather research-oriented sessions
  • Just plan on attending.

*Note to NOLs and Adjuncts:
  NOLs and Adjuncts should work through  their academic program director in terms of getting approval to present.
