Request a Book from the Library Catalog
for Pickup or Delivery

1. When viewing the book's full record, click the Availability link.
   
2. Then click the Request button.
   
3. Sign in, if prompted.
   Select UMUC as the campus, and then enter your last name and barcode number.
4. Select a pickup/delivery location and click send.
    
5. • Live in Maryland?
     Select from a variety of Maryland pickup locations, including any of the 16 USMAI libraries, plus Shady Grove Library and several UMUC locations.  You will be notified when the book is available to pick up.  If you live more than 20 miles from a Maryland pickup location or are disabled, you may select  UMUC Distance Ed - US for free home delivery.  Contact us if you have questions.
   • Live in the continental US outside Maryland?
     Select UMUC Distance Ed - US and we will deliver the book for free, via UPS, to your home address as recorded in the MyUMUC Portal. Books cannot be delivered to P.O. Box numbers.
   • Faculty living outside the continental US?
     Select the UMUC Distance Ed - Overseas and we will deliver the book for free, via USPS, to your APO or FPO address as recorded in the MyUMUC Portal.
   • Overseas student or staff member?
     Please see book options for overseas.
