Getting an Invalid Authorization message or having trouble logging in? Here are some things to check:

  1. Get your library barcode number and EMPLID.
    Note that the library barcode works for ALL library resources. The EMPLID works for SOME library resources.
  2. What last name did you enter?
    You need to enter your last name. Make sure you enter it the way it appears in MyUMUC (for example, Smith Jones).
  3. Are you in a currently running class (or currently employed at UMUC)?
  4. Run the Browser Check.
    Run this Quick Check to make sure that your browser has cookies, Javascript, and SSL enabled.
  5. Clear your browser's stored passwords.
    These can sometimes interfere with logins. Try this if none of the above steps resolve the issue.
  6. Last name and library barcode still do not work?
    Report a login problem and a library staff member will assist you.
