Get a Book:
Once you click on Availability, you will see the option to request the item. When you click on the request button you will be prompted to sign in with your UMUC barcode and last name. If you are a currently registered stateside student and receive an error message, please contact library@umuc.edu. The request feature is not available currently to overseas students and faculty. To proceed with your request for an item, you must select a pickup location.
Please note: All libraries may not appear as delivery options for some items. For example, you cannot request delivery of any College Park libraries' materials to another library on the College Park campus, but you could select UMCP Shady Grove or the UMUC Staff Library as a pickup location. Once you have selected your delivery location, you will then see a confirmation of your request. You will be notified by e-mail when the requested item is available for pick-up or delivery (for the Distance Education Book Delivery service).
