Once you have performed a search, you can use the button to refine your search results. This feature can be useful when you want to modify your original search by year (e.g. only books published in a specific year or range of years), new items recently added to the catalog, items available for checkout, or to add search terms to your original search.

We began our search looking for the terms women and management as word/s in title. In the example below, we clicked on to add the word executives to the word/s in title search to narrow the focus of the search to include all three terms.

Other search limit options from the modify search screen are:

• year (e.g. only records for items published in 2003)
• items recently added to the catalog (e.g. records that were added to the database in the last 7 days)
• items that are not checked out and are available for circulation
